Activities

Athletics
We offer soccer in the fall and basketball in the winter and spring. Priority for participation on teams is given to 7th and 8th graders. Each year, we will first determine how many students from those grades wish to sign up for each sport. If there are not enough older students to fill a team, we'll begin recruiting in the 6th grade; if the team is still not filled, we'll recruit from the 5th grade as well. Parents will be informed whether or not younger students will be recruited for teams by the beginning of September for soccer and by mid-October for basketball.

Our soccer coaches for the 2014 season year are Jana Lovejoy and Dan Prue. To access the 2014 Soccer Schedule, please click here!

After-School Activities
Throughout the school year, students at all grade levels can participate in a range of after-school activities that run daily from 3-5 p.m. Sample past activities have included Snowshoeing, Wii Club, Robotics, and Architecture. There's truly something for everyone!

Summer Fun
The Newport Parks & Recreation Department offers a wonderful selection of summer camps and activities for students in Grades 1-5. Their Summer 2014 Complete Flyer gives a sense of what will be available again next summer.

Please contact our Administrative Assistant, Jessica Prue, to sign up for a sport or an after-school activity.
